How to Register with Google Search Console and Get the Code for SEO By Yoast
Another tutorial aims to answer a recurring question that has been asked by many people on the YouTube channel and also by several people who send me an email asking how to register your site or blog on Google Search Console and get the code for SEO By Yoast.
Like other SEO tools, Search Console does not provide much absolute information about your site, but trends in reality that help you improve your site for your users and Google.
Or Do you think that Giant Google would reveal in detail all the information it has about your website? Evidently not, as this would allow people to easily discover a lot about Google's algorithm, something they don't want
Gmail, Drive, Analytics, and Search Console is a free service, however, unlike them, this tool has a small peculiarity, which for many people would be an entry barrier: authentication. You need to prove to Google that you own your website.
And it is at this moment that we are going to add our website and get that code to insert in the SEO By Yoast plugin.
So here we go: I'll show you this in two ways, for you who don't have a Webmasters Tools or Search Console account and for those who already have it and just want to add a property (that is, a website) in the tool, having your domain or your website's URL.
You are watching and reading here on the blog, you can click here to access Google Search Console, or you can do a search on Google.
Entering this site, you will be asked to enter your Gmail email or password, (it only works for Gmail ok) if you don't have one, just click on Create Account and create an account quickly and easily, if you don't know how to do, I have this tutorial here on the blog where I explain in detail how to do it.
With your previously created email account, just enter it in this field.
After you log in to Search Console for the first time, it will be necessary to inform the URL of your site in order to start registering it.
For you who have not yet registered your site in the tool, enter its URL in the field provided in the video and click on add property, after adding you will be taken to a screen where you can authenticate your site, that is, you will inform Google that you have administrator access within this domain and can change what you need.
At this moment Google shows you several methods for authentication, in this case, you will see the most used ones, which would be the recommended method that aims to download the file that can be downloaded in the Search Console information and send it to the root of your website, as you can see in the instructions.
Follow the steps in the video to do it in practice.
Let's imagine that you, like me, host your site on Hostgator, then, you will enter the CPANEL of your domain, and inside you will look for the File Manager part, click on it once and it will ask you to open the files of which domain since I have several domains registered with this provider.
Select what to use and a new window will open with access to the folders of my chosen domain. Then, you can upload the previously downloaded file to Search Console and upload it to the root of your site.
At another time you will see the authentication option via the HTML Tag, which will have to be inserted in the Header (Theme Header) before between the <head> and <body> tags, as explained in the video.
At the end of this mini tutorial, I give you a ninja tip, telling you where I learned these and thousands of other settings so as not to be at hand at the moment we need it most.
For those who want to learn these settings in a practical way, as well as everything about setting up a blog from scratch and having it as a profitable online business, I talk about the training that was the turning point for me to be where I am today and I want to share with you.
